The Workspace

Timeline

is where you tell Flash when you want the graphics and other elements of your project to appear. You also use the Timeline to specify the layering order of graphics on the Stage. Graphics in higher layers appear on top of graphics in lower layers.

The Workspace

Stage

is where your graphics, videos, buttons, and so on appear during playback.

Library Panel

is where Flash displays a list of the media elements in your Flash document.

Return to default layout: Window > Workspace Layout > Default Bigger dimensions & higher framerate = high quality But need to consider users’ computer power & speed of Internet access Right Click on stage > Document Properties – make adjustments

Lines, Oval, Rectangle and Polystar Change tool property first before creating a new object

Change PolyStar object either polygon or star by clicking the Option button from the Property Inspector, and choosing Style on the Tool Setting popup window. We can also change the number of sides on Tool Setting’s number of sides textbox. Change the star appearance by changing star point size.

Sketch using Pencil. Click on your sketch – use smooth & straighten from the Options tab Sketch using Brush. Modify brush size and mode from the Options tab

Similar as using pen tool in Illustrator Second click without drag creates a straight line Second click with minimum drag creates a curve

Change Fill using Bucket tool Change Stroke using Ink Bottle tool Or simply use the Color Mixer tool; Window > Color Mixer Effect of current object being cut off following the shape of another object which was previously on top of it.
