PRE – PLACEMENT ACTIVITIES

The pre-placement activities of college include -:
 Communication, networking and relationship building with the potential recruiters.
 Invitation to potential recruiters to visit the Institute.
 Continuation of placement activities after the stipulated period, till all the students are placed.
 General follow-up, joining formalities and other administrative activities.
 Grooming and training of the candidates for the placements so that their chances of selection
increase. The students are trained on aspects like:
Facing Interviews.

Facing Group Discussions.

Professional Resume Writing.

Cracking Aptitude Exams.

Skill Development Sessions & Programs.

Preparing Mock Exercises.

Recruitment and Placement Sessions.

Arranging Seminars and Technical talks.

Basic Grammar

 Improving the communication abilities of students and technical knowledge of student.

The Objective of the Activity is -:
 To Bridge the gap that currently exists between the Industry and fresh professionals for
recruitment purposes.
 To minimize Stage fear.
 To build confidence among students.
 To make students know the Importance of Training & Placements.
 Make them prepared for further training session and placements.

Choose any topic from the list below and discuss the points that can be discussed in that topic. there are members who are aggressive and those who do not speak at all. use of appropriate vocabulary and terminology. Students can take on various roles during the group discussion. level of participation (too little/too much) ability to comprehend what others are saying. It is crucial to give the right direction to the group discussion. This is generally done towards the end of the discussion but a t times people keep summarizing every few minutes.Guidelines for group discussion: 1. 2. d. Teacher may introduce in brief the topic for discussion without giving his/her biased opinion or without being judgmental about the whole issue. Gatekeeper: In every group. Moderator: who tells the group about the need to reach a conclusion and also avoids the discussion from deviating into other topics. 5. . Divide the students into groups of 10. The initiator: one who initiates the discussion. While a topic is under discussion by one group. 3. The person who starts the group discussion should be very sure of his understanding of the topic. 6.
